Situated in a secure housing estate, Mar Azul 2 is located in the beach front row of houses with stunning uninterrupted, sweeping ocean views.

The house has 6 bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms (showers). All bedrooms have ceiling fans (no air-conditioning).

The spacious lounge/dining and kitchen area are open plan. The well equipped kitchen has a gas stove/oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, electric pan, two fridge/freezers and a deep freeze. Mar Azul 2 has a TV (DSTV at additional charge per day and 2 weeks’ notice required).

Mar Azul House 2 has easy access to the beach and shares a beach boardwalk with 2 other houses.

Large glass sliding doors lead onto the huge deck and the glorious outdoors. Furnished with comfortable seating, braai facilities, large dining table and a refreshing pool, this is where guests enjoy relaxing, entertaining, soaking up the sun or just staring out at the ocean.

The kitchen at Mar Azul House 2 is fully equipped for self-catering and includes modern conveniences such as a 4 hob electric stove & oven, a washing machine, 3 fridge/freezers and 2 chest deep freezers.

There are 2 full time housekeepers who will make sure the house is clean and tidy during your stay (compulsory daily staff tip required). The house is also equipped with a generator for use during power outages.

Ponta Malongane is a popular holiday destination as the Kosi Bay border is approximately a short and scenic 5 hour drive from Durban, or 8 hours from Johannesburg.

Full payment is required prior to arrival (50% deposit secures and balance is required 1 month prior to arrival). If arrival is within 31 days, then full payment is required.

Should the property be booked by a group of young adults, kindly note no under 25’s permitted without parental/adult supervision.

Minimum Stay
During low and high seasons a minimum stay of 2 nights is required. During peak season there is a minimum stay of 7 nights

Service Fee
R125.00 once off service fee required with deposit payment

Breakage Deposit
R4 000.00 – A refundable breakage deposit is required with the balance of payment. This will be refunded within 14 days, pending any losses/breakages reported.

Staff Fee
R70 per day – up to 10 people
R150 per day – 11 – 16 people
Please pay staff in cash prior to departure. Payment to include your arrival and departure date.

DSTV
R40.00 per day for DSTV. 2 Weeks notice required

Late Check Out
R1,500.00 – Late check outs at 3.00pm may be arranged in advance, provided no guests are arriving on departure date.
Furthermore, if a booking is received on your departure date, the late check out will be cancelled and the payment refunded with the breakage deposit.
Guests who check out after 10.00am will be charged a R1,000 day fee (the same applies to guests who check in before 14h00)

• Mar Azul House 2 has a laundry with a washing machine. Guests are required to bring own washing powder.

• Should the property be booked by a group of young adults, kindly note no under 25’s permitted without parental/adult supervision.
• This house may not be used for any function or event under any circumstances — including birthdays, weddings, parties, or gatherings of any kind.
• To ensure all guests and neighbours have a peaceful and relaxing holiday, there is a strict NO NOISE policy between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Failure to comply will result in a warning. If the issue occurs again after a warning, the full breakage deposit will be forfeited. Continued non-compliance may result in guests being asked to vacate the property immediately, with no refund for any unused nights.
• Please thoroughly wash/rinse off all tanning lotions/oils before making use of the bathroom towels as well as bed linen. The oils stain the linen and towels and will need to be replaced at your own cost.
• Check in from 14h00 and Check out before strictly 10h00
• No fireworks permitted (many of the houses are constructed from wood)
• The maximum capacity of the house may not be exceeded.
• Balustrades and Railings – please do not lean against or sit on any of the balustrades/railings
