Mar Azul House 16 is an enormous beach villa in Ponta Malongane, situated in a secure housing estate, approximately 7km from Ponta do Ouro and 75m from the beach. This sprawling beach villa can accommodate 24 people and has fantastic ocean views.

Comprising 2 levels, this privately owned home has 8 bedrooms (four of which have sea views), 5 bathrooms (with shower and bath), a spacious open plan kitchen, lounge, dining and bar area which lead via stack doors to a whopping deck furnished with comfortable outdoor seating, 24-seater dining table, pool recliners, gas braai and a sparkling private pool.

A second lounge can be found upstairs for guests requiring quiet time and an outdoor shower is provided to rinse off the sand after an enjoyable day at the beach.

Mar Azul House 16 has 8 bedrooms which can comfortably ccommodate 12 adults and 12 children. Two of the bedrooms have double bunk beds suitable for 12 children or young teenagers.

The beautiful pristine beaches of Ponta Malongane are 30 metres from the house and the village is approximately 1km away.

For scuba diving and fishing enthusiasts, the dive centre and launching site for boats is within 1km from the estate at the main Ponta Malongane Camp site.

Full payment is required prior to arrival (50% deposit secures and balance is required 1 month prior to arrival). If arrival is within 31 days, then full payment is required

Minimum Stay
During low season a minimum stay of 2 nights is required., during high season a minimum stay of 5 nights is required and during peak season there is a minimum stay of 7 nights

Service Fee
R125.00 once off service fee required with deposit payment

Breakage Deposit
A Refundable breakage deposit equal to one night’s stay is required with the balance of payment. This will be refunded within 14 days, pending any losses/breakages reported.

Late Check Out
No late check out permitted. If guests check out after 10h00, the full refundable breakage deposit will be retained by the owner

Staff Fee
R200.00 per day – Please pay Daniel R100 and his assistant R100 in cash per day. Please pay Daniel and he will distribute accordingly. Payment to include arrival and departure dates. Please pay in cash prior to departure.

• No Television or Wi-Fi at Mar Azul House 16
• There are no mosquito nets at Mar Azul 16. Please bring insect/mosquito repellent.
• Gas Braai Note – please note that the gas braai must only be used for gas braai purposes, in the event that it is used for any other means i.e; charcoal braai / log fire, then guests will be charged for a replacement unit.
• Use of the backup generator in the case of power outages at your own cost. Guests to supply own fuel & inform staff if they need to use it.
• The gardener will assist you to carry beach items to and from the beach
• Please note that due to the expenses and logistics of getting items over the border, keeping the home perfectly stocked all the time is sometimes difficult and challenging. We therefore kindly request guests to bring their specific items e.g. sharp knives, coffee plunger, braai tongs, etc.
• Please do not leave any alcohol behind for the staff.
• Regret, no Pets permitted
• 4×4 Vehicle is Required
• No smoking permitted in the house
• No loud music, parties or functions allowed (strictly no noise after 10pm)
• Check in from 14h00 and Check out before strictly 10h00. If guests check out after 10h00, the full refundable breakage deposit will be retained by the owner
• No fireworks permitted (many of the houses are constructed from wood)
• The maximum capacity of the house may not be exceeded.

We had a great time. The only complaint was the light of the oven, the gas plates being a bit slow and the big plate in the middle doesn’t work. In the big ensuite room a towel railing is busy breaking out of the wall and the blinds at the one window also seem to be broken.
For such a big house and so many people I think it was amazing that these are our only complaints. It didn’t really bother anyone.
