Makana is an upscale estate located in Ponta Mamoli, south of the well-known Aloha estate. This modern development on Mozambique’s pristine coastline features Makana 7, an exclusive holiday home overlooking Frederico’s Bay — a renowned snorkelling destination celebrated for its vibrant marine life and crystal-clear waters. Makana 7 has 5 spacious, air-conditioned bedrooms which can accommodate 13 guests as well as a separate building which houses the 6th bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Four of the bedrooms share 2 bathrooms.

Full payment is required prior to arrival (50% deposit secures and balance is required 1 month prior to arrival). If arrival is within 31 days, then full payment is required.

Should the property be booked by a group of young adults, kindly note no under 25’s permitted without parental/adult supervision.

Minimum Stay
During low and high seasons a minimum stay of 2 nights is required.

Service Fee
R125.00 once off service fee required with deposit payment

Breakage Deposit
R6 000.00 – A refundable breakage deposit is required with the balance of payment. This will be refunded within 14 days, pending any losses/breakages reported. Please ensure you have sufficient Rands cash on your departure date

Staff Fee
R210.00 per day staff cleaning fee. It is payable to any of the staff members who work at the house on the day you depart. Payment to include day of departure. Please ensure you have sufficient Rands cash on your departure date

Late Check Out
Check in is from 14h00 and check out before 10h00.
R1 500.00 – Late check outs at 3.00pm may be arranged in advance, provided no guests are arriving on your departure date. If a booking is received to arrive on your departure date, the late check out will be cancelled.
R1 000.00 – Guests who check out after 3.00pm will have an additional R1 000 deducted from the breakage deposit.

• There is a steep stairway to the beach (approximately 60-80 stairs).
• 4×4 Vehicle is Required
• Please thoroughly wash/rinse off all tanning lotions/oils before making use of the bathroom towels as well as bed linen. The oils stain the linen and towels and will need to be replaced at your own cost.
• No smoking permitted in the house
• Should the property be booked by a group of young adults, kindly note no under 25’s permitted without parental/adult supervision.
• No fireworks permitted (many of the houses are constructed from wood).
• The maximum capacity of the house may not be exceeded.
• To ensure all guests and neighbours have a peaceful and relaxing holiday, there is a strict NO NOISE policy between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Failure to comply will result in a warning. If the issue occurs again after a warning, the full breakage deposit will be forfeited. Continued non-compliance may result in guests being asked to vacate the property immediately, with no refund for any unused nights.
• Under no circumstances Makana 7 allowed to be booked for any function or event, including birthday parties, weddings, and any other function.
• The pool does not have a safety net – use of the swimming pool and the associated amenities and facilities is strictly at your own risk.
• Only staff may use the washing machine (please bring own detergent)
