Gala-Gala Eco Resort in Ponta do Ouro envelops you in nature – set amongst indigenous bush accompanied by amazing bird life and a magnificent beach close by.
The word Gala-Gala means Gecko in the local dialect. The bush surroundings we enjoy are teeming with many Geckos and lizards of all shapes and sizes so this is the inspiration for the name.
Accommodation at Gala-Gala Eco Resort is provided in private camp sites and self-catering standard and deluxe reed cabanas. Guests may make use of the communal swimming pool which is a popular spot in the summer months.
The Reed cabanas are nestled discreetly in the bushy, topical surrounding. There are 2 sleeper & 4 sleeper reed cabanas – guests have a choice of Standard or Deluxe.
The Standard Reed Cabanas accommodate 2 or 4 people. The standard cabanas have an electric light, power points, mosquito nets and fans. Guests staying in the Standard Cabanas share clean communal bathrooms as well as a large communal and fully equipped kitchen. The spacious dining and braai area is a great place to socialise and meet new friends.
The two Deluxe Cabanas are situated under shady indigenous trees. The deluxe cabanas can accommodate 2 or 4 people. Each cabana has a beautifully styled bedroom, spacious en-suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen as well as a dining and braai area in front of the cabana. For total relaxation, the cabanas are equipped with a hammock to enjoy those wonderful lunch time siestas!
The camp sites are very private – each camp site is enclosed by a reed fence. Camp sites have their own bathrooms, outside wash up area, lights and power. The sites are grassed and level. Each site is approximately 12 x 20 metres so they are ideal for families and big groups.
For guests who prefer not to self-cater, Gala Gala Eco Resort has a bar and cafe’ where guests can order delicious fresh seafood.
A stone’s throw from the bustling town of Ponto – Gala-Gala Eco Resort is a must for a sun drenched, carefree Ponta holiday.
