Aloha 18 is a magnificent privately owned holiday house in Ponta Mamoli which is situated 40 minutes from the Kosi Bay border. This beautiful home can accommodate 16 people.

This stunning 5 bedroom home is a beachfront house which has seaviews from all the rooms and direct beach access. The design comprises separate buildings which house the bedrooms and the main living area.

All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning in double bedrooms. All bedrooms have ceiling fans.

The open plan area consists of a dining area and lounge with a flatscreen TV. There is no DSTV, however guests can stream their favourite programmes using the Wi-Fi provided (using their own account). The spacious deck has an infinity pool, a raised viewing post with counter and bar chairs and comfortable recliners are placed around the deck area.

The kitchen is well equipped with a 4 plate gas hob, oven, microwave, two fridges, chest freezer, washing machine and cutlery/crockery for 16 guests. Every prep bowl in the kitchen has a water filter attached to the taps providing drinkable water.

A 5 minute walk from Aloha 18 along the beach brings you to well-known Frederico’s snorkelling spot – remember to bring own snorkelling equipment!

Humpback and Southern Right Whale sightings are prolific from July to November. Pods of dolphins can be seen all year round.

The Elephant Reserve is a 30 minute drive north where you can have a day picnic around one of the lakes and if lucky, you may spot the elephants.

Full payment is required prior to arrival (50% deposit secures and balance is required 1 month prior to arrival). If arrival is within 31 days, then full payment is required

Minimum Stay
During low and high seasons a minimum stay of 2 nights is required. During peak season there is a minimum stay of 7 nights

Service Fee
R125.00 once off service fee required with deposit payment

Breakage Deposit
R4 500.00 – Refundable breakage deposit will be required with your balance of payment. This will be refunded within 14 days of departure, pending any breakages/losses.

Staff Fee
R150.00 – Cleaning Fee per day
There is a compulsory daily staff tip of R150 per day. Please pay to the head housekeeper in cash prior to departure. Payment to include your day of arrival and departure.

The groundsman cleans the pool, braai and outside areas. There is no compulsory staff tip for him, however, a gratuity is always welcome.

Late Check Out
Check in is from 14h00 and check out before 10h00.
R1 500.00 – Late check outs at 3.00pm may be arranged in advance, provided no guests are arriving on your departure date. If a booking is received to arrive on your departure date, the late check out will be cancelled and the payment refunded with the breakage deposit.
R1 000.00 – Guests who check out after 3.00pm will have an additional R1,000 deducted from the breakage deposit.

• The washing machine is to be operated by the staff only. If you would like laundry done then please bring Aerial washing liquid and fabric softener with, as this is not provided.
• The lounge has a flatscreen TV. There is no DSTV, however guests can stream their favourite programmes using the Wi-Fi provided (using their own account).
• Every prep bowl in the kitchen has a water filter attached to the tap. Only this water is drinkable. Teeth can be brushed with water in the bedrooms, but is not to be consumed. If you prefer bottled water then please purchase your own.
• Plugs are standard SA 3 pin (15AMP)

• No pets permitted
• Under no circumstances may Aloha 18 be booked for any function, event or party. This includes weddings, birthdays, engagements, etc.

Just a few hiccups with a few of the aircons and the washing machine that was not working, but overall this is one of the best places we have had a holiday with. Although we had a hiccup or two, it was attended to once reported.
